Andrew Anderson Defends Thesis

Congratulations to Andrew Anderson who had his viva this morning on his PhD work “Vectorization for Accelerated Gather/Scatter and Multibyte Data Formats”.

The external examiner was Dr Ayal Zachs of the Technicon and Intel Labs Haifa, the internal was Dr David Abrahamson, and the viva was chaired by Prof. Brendan Tangney.

The examiners recommended that the award of the PhD be made for the thesis as it is. The examiners commented particularly on the high quality of supervision that Andrew had received during his studies. It is understood that Andrew also did some good work.
